Testing and balancing

The hard part, handled

Keeping water balanced is the trickiest part of owning a pool, especially in a Florida summer when afternoon storms dilute the chlorine and the heat burns through it. Get it wrong and the pool turns cloudy or green, or the water starts wearing on your surfaces and equipment.

With chemical service, we test and balance your water on a set schedule, and you keep doing the skimming, brushing and vacuuming. If you'd rather we handle all of it, see pool cleaning.

What's included

Tested and balanced every visit

  • Test the water: chlorine, pH, total alkalinity and stabilizer (CYA)
  • Balance it: we add what's needed to bring everything back into range
  • Report: you get a report after every visit through the customer portal

You handle

Skimming, brushing, vacuuming and emptying baskets.

Want us to handle it all?

See pool cleaning.

For reference, the CDC recommends keeping a home pool at a pH of 7.0 to 7.8, with chlorine at least 1 ppm, or at least 2 ppm if the pool uses stabilizer. CDC guidance

from 24 Google reviews
  • Brent is professional, very reliable and thoroughly knowledgeable about pool care, filter and heat pump maintenance and pool chemistry. He documents his weekly service by email and readily answers any of my questions. Brent works with salt water pools, too. Brent’s fee is fair. His pool service is excellent.
