Quotes & repairs

How does quoting work?
Every job is quoted, and we don't list prices because every pool is different. If you already know what you need, like a new pump, filter or heat pump, the quote is free. If something isn't working and you're not sure why, we schedule a diagnostic service call, find the problem, and go over your options before any repair. Request a quote.
How fast can you fix my equipment?
Same-day repairs may be possible.
Do you offer emergency service?
Yes. Emergency and after-hours service is available (after-hours rates apply). Call (352) 773-0088.
Do you warranty your work?
Yes. Parts and new equipment are covered by the manufacturer's warranty, and our work is backed for 90 days.
Are you licensed?
Yes. Florida Certified Pool/Spa Contractor, Lic# CPC1460717. Licensed and insured.
Which areas do you serve?
Repairs, equipment and green-to-clean cover Spring Hill, Brooksville, Weeki Wachee and the rest of Hernando County, plus Hudson, Bayonet Point and Shady Hills. Outside the county, like Dade City, call to check for repairs. New pool cleaning customers are Spring Hill only. See all areas.
Should I drain my hot tub before you diagnose it?
No, please keep it filled. To find the problem, we need to run the tub, and the heater, pumps and sensors can't be tested safely without water. If you've already drained it, refill it to the normal level before your appointment. If it's leaking and won't hold water, tell us when you call and we'll plan around it.

Equipment

Which brands do you install and repair?
All major brands, including Pentair, Hayward and Jandy. For automation we install Pentair, Hayward and Jandy systems, plus PoolSync controllers, and we work on Balboa hot tub control packs.
Why does my new pump motor have to be variable speed?
Federal Department of Energy rules. Since July 19, 2021, new and replacement pool filter pumps over about 1 total horsepower must be variable speed. Since September 29, 2025, replacement pump motors from 1.15 to 5 total horsepower need variable-speed control too, and smaller motors (0.5 to 1.15) follow on September 28, 2027. The upside: ENERGY STAR says variable-speed pumps can use up to 70% less energy. More on pump replacement.
Heat pump or gas heater?
For most pools here, a heat pump. It costs much less to run and handles our mild winters well, though it heats slowly and works best above about 45–50°F. Gas heats fast in any weather, so it suits spas and occasional heating. Compare them.
What heater repairs can you do?
Troubleshooting, display and control boards, sensors, flow switches and the water-side problems that keep a heater or heat pump from running. If it turns out to be a refrigerant or gas burner problem, we'll let you know and go over your options, including a new unit if that makes more sense.
Saltwater or chlorine?
A salt pool is still a chlorine pool: a salt cell makes chlorine from lightly salty water (about 2,700–3,400 ppm). People like the softer feel and steadier chlorine. It still needs cell cleaning and pH checks, and cells usually last 3 to 7 years. More on salt systems.

Water & cleaning

Why did my pool turn green, and can you fix it?
Florida storms dilute chlorine and wash in debris, and heat and sun burn through what's left, so algae can take over in days. We clear debris, balance, shock, brush, and run and clean the filter until it's clear. A light case can clear in a day or two; a pool that's sat for weeks can take several visits. Green-to-clean.
What does pool cleaning service include?
Every visit: test and balance the water, skim, brush the walls, steps and tile line, vacuum (as needed, normally every visit), empty the skimmer and pump baskets, and check the equipment. The filter is cleaned monthly. Choose weekly, bi-weekly or monthly visits, with a photo report after every visit. Pool cleaning.
Do I need to be home?
No. As long as we can get to the pool, we can take care of it.
Do you have cleaning openings in my area?
We're only taking new pool cleaning and chemical service customers in Spring Hill, and openings are limited. Our cleaning routes fill up. If we don't have an opening in your area, we'll gladly point you to a trusted local cleaning company, and we're always here for repairs and equipment.
